Get LPG cylinder at your time and day

From today, name day and fix time for LPG cylinder delivery

Starting Tuesday consumers can choose a preferred time and day for the LPG cylinder to be delivered at home, for a few rupees more. As of now, cylinders are delivered based on the booking in serial order on a first-come, first-serve basis. A delivery either before 8 am or between 6 pm and 8 pm will cost an additional Rs 50. In other words, Rs 395 instead of Rs 345 that a Puneite now pays after the recent petro-product hike.

Deliveries between 8 am and 6 pm, but on a specific day, will cost Rs 25 extra. The additional payout is Rs 25 in cases where a customer is specific about getting the cylinder being delivered on a Saturday or a Sunday. The three government-owned oil companies, IOC, BPCL and HPCL, will offer the scheme. Sujata Chandekar, an IT professional, said, “It will be of great help for nuclear families where both husband and wife leave for work early morning. It is not possible for us to wait for a cylinder and often it is difficult to co-ordinate with the neighbours. I really wouldn’t mind shelling out some extra money for such a convenient arrangement.” Courtesy: INDIAN EXPRESS
