India: India among top 10 countries for clean tech investment

Hence India entered the top 10 list in clean tech investment for the first time. China came first in 2010 with a total investment of 54.4 billion $ followed by Germany (41.2 billion $). The US slipped to third position (34 billion $).Total renewable energy capacity in India was 18.65 GW in 2010 placing India in 7th position right after Japan and previous to Italy.
